Jul. 19th, 2008 09:42 pmCamping was a bust. There was like one available spot, but it was not so good. Rainier was crazy busy. I bought a scratch off lottery ticket but didn't win anything.
I am/will be making strawberry jello pie from my mom's recipe, which is similar to this one. I made a graham cracker crust, which is cooling now. Not rocket science, I know, but I like the feeling of achievement. I'll do the actual jello business in the morning.
What's funny is that I have made traditional pie crust, but in the context of making apple dumplings, and thus have never made a pie from scratch. Now, I'm not sure that jello pie will count, but the crust counts, I think.
