Feb. 1st, 2007 06:44 amI woke up sobbing last night.
I was dreaming that I was sitting on a porch and there was this kind of impromptu auction. This Indian man would hold things up and people would bid on them. Then he held up a rug that my grandmother had woven. I waited. No one was bidding on it. When he finally said "Doesn't anyone want it?" I bid a dollar. So did two other people. And I couldn't bid any higher. So he decided to give it to this other guy. And I'm bawling in the dream. I might have already been bawling for a while in the dream. I try and convince this guy to give it to me, as it was my grandma's. But he won't. He's some kind of resale guy. And I wake up sobbing, tears running down my face. And I kind of half fall asleep and when I half wake up again I discover that my eyes are still all wet.
Strangest experience.
