AH! Help!

Here's the deal. I think it would be prudent for me to have a cellular phone. However, I don't make a lot of calls, nor do I really intend to make a whole lot of calls. This is why I like the idea of pre-paid/pay-as-you go type deals. Can anyone point me in a good direction? Cause I don't want to be paying $50 a month for 200 billion minutes that I'll never use.

I'm off to keep poking at the internet to help me.

cingular sucks. they drop my calls, reception is crappy, it takes me 4 or 5 tries, sometimes, to make a call, etc.
