froggy_dearWell, we have hotel reservations in Klamath Falls for this weekend (at a really great rate! stay 3 nights, the 3rd night is half off!). Check in on Friday, check out on Monday. Go to Lava Beds National Monument and Crater Lake National Park on the weekend. So excited! Crater Lake's been on our to-do list for a while, and I've been convinced that Lava Beds is somewhere we need to visit since I found it.
Summer's been sort of sneaky. This spring has been pretty cool, so summer hasn't really been on my mind, but suddenly we're only a couple weeks out from Independence Day! And while it was fine to do a 9 mile hike last Independence Day, going to other National Parks can be mad, thus the desire to go the weekend before the holiday, with the hope it'll be slightly less crazy.
So! First roadtrip of the summer! Exciting! And there's a Greek Orthodox Monastery and Bakery on the way down that I am told has excellent baklava.
