Day in pictures: June 13, 2009
Jun. 14th, 2009 09:15 amTook photos of my day yesterday. We played a lot of Super Mario 3!
I had the idea that I would do a day in pictures on Friday, so I had the camera ready and took this photo right after getting out of bed in the morning - I have my mouth guard in.

I decided that a bike ride was in order for the morning (even though I was getting a kind of a late start), but breakfast is necessary.

This is the bike I ride on:

Look! No miles!

I headed out to the local bike trail/narrowest state park ever, and headed out.

I rode the 2.5 miles from that sign to the next road over, then I rode up the rode a mile and a half and back to the trail where I continued riding west for another mile or so. This is as far as I went:

The view from this point is really quite nice:

Zoom!

And along the trail:

I rode a bit on the local streets, on a slight decline, and was freaked out when a car pulled up along side me - then I noticed I was going 25 MPH. Woah. I'm getting less freaked out about speed on my bike, I guess. Getting more confident about it all around I think. On the way home I stopped at a yard sale and bought a travel pillow... red eye flight in a month!

And look! 12 miles! Not bad.

Then I took some photos of the cat. Meow.

And I read my internetz... after it loaded.

I took some allergy medicine because I was full of sniffles.

Daniel and I headed downtown to the farmer's market.

I bought some strawberries there, but there was nothing else for us. A couple of days ago we got coupons for free stuff at the 7-11. So I we stopped in on the way home.

I got a slurpee!! The straw is 3x the height of the cup.

Got home, and I washed the strawberries. They were gone by the afternoon. I looove fresh summer strawberries.

Then we played Super Mario 3

And I knit on my sock

We played until lunchtime and decided to go down to a local restaurant for lunch. Unfortunately, commencement had just completed and the place was swarmed. We didn't eat there. I was sad.

All the walking and biking and not eating had me tired. I flopped down on the bed with my cat.

Lunch was not exciting.

I ate my lunch, got out my knitting, and we watched A Fistful of Dollars. The cat sat on my lap.

Something went wrong with my knitting. I tried to figure it out (I forgot a yarn over. Silly me.)

I figured it out. And we played more Super Mario 3.

I took some photos of my knitting and uploaded them. Read the internet some more.

Since our lunch plans were thwarted, we headed down to the Thai restaurant for dinner. I got a a Thai iced coffee and pad thai. The iced coffee was really good for the first couple of sips, but, by the end, I couldn't stand it. I have leftover pad thai for lunch today. Yum!

Daniel had the yellow curry fried rice. He liked it, really. :)
Then we headed to the dollar store. I love the dollar store. I didn't need anything from there, but I had to go! Look at the stuff!

Then there was more knitting and Super Mario 3!

What a nice sock I'm making

Even though most activities occurred several hours ago, I was exhausted. All I could do was lay on the couch and watch Return to the Planet of the Apes with Daniel.

After an episode, I got my second wind, so I started work on redesigning my scarf.

Business Cat let me know that it was dinner time

So I fed her. She appreciates that. Especially when I give her canned food. Cat likes her some fish.

By this time, it was after 10. Daniel went to bed, but I was still well awake, so I test knit the redesign of the scarf and watched some teevee on the you tube.

After a couple of episodes, I was done and ready to head to bed. So I brushed my teeth and off to bed with me!

So a good day. Lots of knitting, lots of videogames, and a good morning bike ride. Probably not so interesting to look at, though. Oops.
