Jun. 6th, 2009 10:07 amI took some off brand expired Claritin last night and holy cow, that stuff works. I'm still moderately congested, but I'm not miserable! And being not miserable is wonderful right now.
We had three types of allergy medicine in the cabinet: DayQuil Sinus, which sucked. It worked for about an hour or two and then back to misery. It expires this month. The off brand Claritin expired in January, but, screw that, I was desperate. And it seems to work. The third kind... well, I didn't try it as it expired in September of 2007. That's a bit too long ago for me to use. 5 months? no problem. Year and a half? Oh no.
After I shower I'm going to go down to the farmer's market. But driving since I really don't want to risk the kind of raw throat pain I've gotten from walking lately. The strawberries from last weekend were delicious and I want to recapture that. After that I have some goals for the weekend:
1. Do my latin. Do the homework, put the info into the flashcard program, and actually start reviewing the flashcards before it gets out of hand.
2. Finish my green sock.
3. Design the scarf. Get scarf elements chosen and start charting it out. Use leftover green yarn (being the same brand) for swatching.
