I would like to learn Latin. For reading comprehension. Recommendations for books or primers?

Any particular reason why? I really ought to relearn my latin and greek, but if you end up learning it and liking it I have some books you can have. I can't seem to get rid of them but I doubt I'll ever understand latin that well again. If I know they are going to a good home perhaps I can part with them. I learned Latin using Wheelock's Latin. It's what a lot of schools use to teach and it's a pretty good book and easy to use. Let me know if you need any help. Actually perhaps we can learn it together, it would give me some motivation. Like we could set deadlines and turn in our "homework" to each other. Don't know how serious you are about doing it but it could be fun

Well, I have a strong interest in medieval history. I could see pursuing a degree in it someday, but I would need a language, probably several, and a reading comprehension of Latin would allow me to read many documents in the original.

The buddy system could be fun! I'd be up for it.

Well the next few weeks are totally gonna be crazy for me but I would love to start in January. I have the 6th edition of Wheelock which looks like it's still available. Oh now I'm all excited! Now I just need to find a Greek buddy
