froggy_dearIt happened. We did it. Barack Obama is President Elect.
McCain's concession speech was gracious and classy. His crowd was disappointing and not classy. Obama's victory speech was everything expected and his crowd appeared respectful and classy.
I feel hope for the future of my country.

I remember, in 2004, I was advising incoming freshmen to UW-Madison. The day after Barack Obama gave his convention speech my co-advisors and I all listened to it (I hadn't watched the convention). Then we printed out little signs which read "Obama 2008." I didn't really think it would happen - he was so young.
But, for all the hope this election has given me, I will be deeply and sorely disappointed and distressed if Prop 8 passes in California.
