They pronounce it Do-boys. Apparently they wanted to name the town Never Sweat but the postal service didn't find it appropriate so they named the town Dubois and in protest the people decided they weren't going to pronounce it like it should be.
I'm so happy you found some petroglpyhs. You probably found some pretty neat ones as I only saw the ones that you could either see by the road or only had to walk a very short distance. Hope you find the Tetons as stunning as I did!
