So far, this weekend has been pretty good.
Yesterday we went out to Peshastin Pinnacles State Park. In one of my last entries I had downplayed the 1.5 miles of trail. Um. Yeah, it kicked my ass. First off, these are relatively steep trails. Second, I didn't drink enough water. Third, the sun was really hot. The one place I missed with the sunscreen got burnt in the course of maybe an hour. So I was feeling crummy after about 30 minutes on the easier trails. I expect we'll go back when I've learned to drink enough water.
But it sure was pretty:

We came home, I recovered nicely. We went out for some yummy Italian dinner. Watched the new episode of Doctor Who (which was very nice, by the way, and a good sort of episode to precede the expected EPICNESS of the next three). Good day. Expect I had a terrible headache by the end - dehydration does that to me.
Today is also very nice. We had a cake tasting by proxy, and we arranged to do a last minute tasting when we get to Wisconsin to choose flavors. Yay cake! I reserved a rental car as advised in my last post. Daniel and I picked out photos for the photo book we're having at the reception. Sat outside and read a bit. And now I'm writing it up! Nice laid back weekend I think, but with the benefit of actually doing a few things.
