Apr. 6th, 2008 12:52 pmYesterday was a heavy shopping day. If it were possible, I would never go to malls on weekends; it's just too crazy. I tried on several dresses, including this lovely grey silk halter dress at Nordstrom Rack which was lovely, but I still haven't worked out how halters work on those who have breasts, or at least on me. It was too large around the back anyway.
After hours of shopping I bought two dresses - one of which I returned after finding the second. The dress I bought is quite nice, although not the summery cotton sundress I imagined initially. It's just a nice red shirt dress in a surprisingly heavy linen/cotton blend (which I appreciate for its sturdiness), but I like it and I will get use out of it beyond the occasion for which it has been purchased. I opened a store account and got $25 off, too. yay value
And, we watched the first episode of the new season of Doctor Who. DOCTOR WHO! Squeeeeee!! I have to say, when I heard who the new companion was going to be, I was skeptical, but I think she's going to be alright after all.
So, we now have tv. Before, we did not have tv. But now we have it, and not just network channels like I had expected, but Nick and TLC and VH1 (and Oxygen and Lifetime and Style). So now there is SpongeBob, perhaps too much SpongeBob. And What Not to Wear. I am well stocked for low investment tv now.
