Apr. 3rd, 2008 09:31 pmThe weather is getting nicer and nicer out. Yay! I rather want to get the bikes out and ready to go. Go where, I don't know, but out from under the tarpaulin.
I am still in the market for a dress for the after-getting-married-dinner (since I do not want to wear a white wedding style dress to a big Greek restaurant), so we may be heading to that mecca of shopping, Alderwood Mall this weekend. Lord help us all. I do have a dress which is nice. Nice in that, it's okay way. But, frankly, I want to really really really like the dress I get, and getting dresses online is proving to be too much of a crapshoot. Not that I've had much in store success yet. I hope it's not too much to ask to have a happy, nice looking summery dress that fits both belly and boobs without the arm holes hanging halfway down my sides. Is that too much to ask?
Whatever, I'm sure it won't be that big of a deal when the time comes, but I want to be happily prepared. With pretty dresses that make me feel happy. ;)
Wooo! nothing more serious than shopping to complain about today! Must be a pretty good day.
I do feel nice and calm at the moment. Probably has to do with waking up naturally the past couple of mornings rather than being jolted awake by an alarm clock.
Speaking of alarm clocks, I have a clock radio. Wood grain, circa 1990 (it was a Christmas gift - I had desperately wanted one). It works beautifully. But I've noticed at stores that you just can't get a wood grained clock radio anymore, they all look like they're from the future. Ditto with stereos. We bought a small new one recently and they were all so fugly, looking like jet engines with an overdose of testosterone. Seriously! We did find this nice little Panasonic system which just happens to have wood grained speakers. It does not look like it's trying to prove your manhood. Also, it sounds nice; sounding nice was the main consideration, not wood paneling, although I feel it was a bonus.
Oh, at work, I am losing clipboards. I used to have at least 4, maybe 5, but I am down to one. Cannot find the others for the life of me. Don't know where they got to. Shame. Clipboards are very useful in this line of work.
