Feb. 18th, 2008 10:24 amSo, a few months ago, we were watching Kung Fu. There was this episode where David Carradine and this miner need to dig a well in order to get a cat (or something). Anyway, they're digging this well, and they're both down in the bottom of the well when they hit water. The well starts flooding.
All of a sudden it's dramatic and they're fighting to get out. The crippled inn keeper/cat owner tries to do something to save them, but her efforts fail. In the end, they go back to back and do the wall walking thing to get out (um, like in The Emperor's New Groove). Anyway, through this whole thing, I am wondering why the well filling up with water is such a problem. It's filling pretty fast, so... um, shouldn't they just be able to float and wait until it fills? I really didn't understand what kind of danger they were in. They were digging in summer, so hypothermia isn't a huge issue...
I don't get it.
