I was on the phone, listening, for about 90 minutes. My neck hurts, since I was taking notes at the same time.

Whenever I have to do a long call/teleconference/whatever, I find an empty room with a speakerphone. It's the only way to save your neck (unless you're like my mom and use one of those geeky hands-free headsets that plug into your desk phone).

Your office looks comfy and I'm jealous of your shelving. I don't have my room to organize papers and books :(

It's deceptive - my office chair is circa 1983 and is the opposite of ergonomic, and as soon as I organize the papers, I forget how they're organized!

But, yes, the shelves are nice. :)

But at least it's den like. I like have a little nook but my office is totally open and the way they reorganized the desk makes it even more open. They said I could reorganize if I want but that was in the same breathe as them saying how much nicer/better they thought this arrangement was, plus it would be a pain to move this heavy desk around. So I've sort of boxed myself in by using carts and sometimes make a complete den by using the door to a cabinet. I guess that's what I get when my office is not only an office but a collection/shipping/isolation/packing/storage space. One of these days I'll have a true office that I can make a den!

I... I... I... no.

Dying it is a pain in the ass. At most, I might do the tips, or a couple of streaks.... but... It's just such a hassle to maintain (not that I ever really maintained it).
