I'd like to get a cat. I really would. But... I'm just not sure. Daniel's not totally behind the idea of a cat. There was an ad today for a 6 month old neutered kitten named Goobers. And I want that kitten. But... I don't know. I still feel a bit like I abandoned Lucy, poor girl, and that getting a new cat would prove my irresponsibility. Although it would probably be more irresponsible to take her out of a home where she has other cats to socialize with.

The dress I bought off ebay came today. It was shorter than I thought - at the knee or just above. I am definitely after below the knee to mid-calf in length. The top is hell of cute though. But to the drawing board. I would love a dress with a cut like this (actually I would love this dress), but I'm finding it very difficult to find any sort of acceptable dress. Online at least. I guess there's not a huge rush.

I've been reading the pulp science fiction novels I bought for their covers. Not surprisingly, they're pretty bad. But, hey, it's fast reading.

finding a seamstress to make a dress for you could be a lot more affordable than buying some dresses out there. the key is to try on a bunch pf dresses so you have a good idea of what styles suit you (rather than just appeal to you on paper). it's a process, for sure. good luck!

Thanks for the advice. It's been challenging in my location - we went to the town with shopping (30 miles away) to look for dresses to try on.... could barely find a dress, much less one in my size. It was a bit frustrating. Need to go to Seattle when the pass clears up - Seattle has shopping options.
