On Bathroom Etiquette

From my desk, I have a view of the men's bathroom entrance. It is a one seater. I have observed interesting behaviors in the male of the species that I am not familiar with in the female of the species. Frequently, when an individual exits the bathroom and another is waiting to enter, the exitor will make a statement regarding the status of said bathroom: "You don't wanna go in there, man." "Shouldn't be too bad." Etc.

I assume that most of these individuals do not know each other very well.

I find it interesting as I have not observed a similar behavior during my 25 years as a female, outside of shared household relationships.

Boys... Ewww.....

It's just awkward conversation. But overall, the bathroom is a bit of an awkward place for men. Women will go in groups to the restroom, but some men won't use a urinal if it is next to a urinal in use.

The last place I worked was JUST LIKE THAT. It's like there's a script of appropriate things to say as you leave the bathroom.

Do men poop more or something? WHAT IS THE DEAL, YO?
