froggy_dearThe 4th of July is not my holiday. I've taken care of a few unpleasant things, such as fill out my exit survey for my Perkins Loan (I think I owe more money than I thought. Damnit.), clean the algae off of the porch railing, and take out the garbage.
Mostly I've amused myself by punctuating activities by saying "It is the American way" in a Sam the Eagle sort of tone.
Also started re-reading a book by a British author and watching clips of Eddie Izzard on youtube. Dude had a mustache and no eyeliner. I was a bit freaked out. These two activities were not intentionally un-American oriented.
Although we're currently listening to Gillian Welch and that's pretty American. She rarely mentions any specific brand of vehicle, but I think the countrified origins of the music get patriot points.
