Maybe doing a conference paper was a bad choice. This thing is sucking up my time and energy. Because it has to be good enough to follow me around for the rest of my professional life.

Gah! The stress. It drives us up trees.

Oh, a lot of conference papers are written on the airplane on the way to the conference, and it's obvious too!

You should see some of the "published" conference papers I've had to read. You could do better with your eyes closed.
