Ugh. The department is considering the possibility of having the graduation ceremony on Saturday instead of on Friday, since the Burke is apparently not available for Friday. I am very upset about this. My mother is flying in and then we are flying out on Saturday. So if the whole thing ends up on Saturday, I'm going to miss it. And I don't want to. I've been really excited about this whole thing till now.

I'll just cross my fingers that we choose to have it Friday off-campus.

But I'm upset. Like "it's not fair!" upset. Because it could negatively impact me. I'm not only really emotionally invested in this ceremony, but really, I've paid tens of thousands of dollars for it.

I totally agree. While it won't hugely impact me because my parents are flying out Sunday morning, I still really want it on Friday so that we can spend Saturday packing up everything. This is just really poor planning on their part. I guess they have the same mentality as I do that the Burke is ours alone and no one else uses it.

I suggested we try the zoo and so now I'm really really hoping we get to go there!

The zoo would be cool. I wouldn't want to end up in the henry's auditorium though. That would be lame.

I sent Maya an email saying I'd have to miss things on Saturday. Just my whining NO! reaction.

I sent Maya an email asking her to change my vote to Friday.

I also submitted a vote to have the ceremony on the boat, and helpfully said that I have some suggestions for a boat.

And it's not a big deal if you miss my ceremony, if yours happens to be finalized for Saturday. I definitely understand. Plus, we're able to get DVD's of it anyway, so if you realllly want to see it... :)
