(no subject)
Mar. 9th, 2007 11:52 amI worked for, oh, an hour and a half on my thesis. Nearly done with my communication section. Need to start drafting the PR part. Wrote a little bit into blog history bit, and a little intro to my thesis bit ("in the first part I talk about blah..." type thing).
Discovered that Word does not recognize liminal as a word. Neither, apparently, does Firefox. I like to use the word liminal. It's such a good academic word. Sounds so professional and smart. It's a way to jazz up writing, like using "furthermore" or "moreover" or "contrariwise." Contrariwise, despite my suppositions that it was only a product of Lewis Carroll's imagination, is a real word. Of course, I use it wrong. I use it like "alternatively" when it means "on the contrary." But do I care? Well, a little.
Feeling good about the state of my thesis. Having a draft of the first half to committee within two weeks is totally doable. Rock on.
