When a job posting says "Date of First Application is February 16th" and I sent in my application on February 2nd, and the listing closed on February 28th, does that mean I'm screwed? And I was totally (over)qualified for that one too!

Um... i don't know about that date of first application thing, but I do know that we stretch our searches out for a long time because until we have our new hire actually accepted and on campus, we may have to go back into the pool.
