Glimmers of hope
Feb. 14th, 2007 06:53 amAfter doing no thesis work yesterday - Tuesdays are ostensibly my thesis day - I sent 3 job applications by email. Since applications are like thesis, only so much more tangible.
I woke up this morning to an email from one of the contacts saying he'd have a look at my materials and arrange a phone interview in the near future. Even though the closing date is not until March 15.
Squeee! I am pleased and terrified by this development. Pleased because it's a glimmer of hope, terrified because he is suggesting a phone interview before even looking at my resume (at least it sounds that way). What's with that? But my desire to make it to second round of applications is seeing it's first fulfillment. Eep!
Aside: Any of you museologists with Bruce on your committee hear from him lately? I emailed him on Monday and on the Monday before that and no response. What's up with that?
