Talked to the chain hair place. Apparently it would be $65 to bleach my hair there. What ever. When I got it done at Cha Cha in Madison - a place which is nearly too hip for its own good - I got my hair bleached, dyed and trimmed for $80 including tip. And a bottle of the dye is $10 retail.

So I've got hair lightening goop in my hair, which I've never done before. Glord that stuff is toxic. And it burns a little, so I guess that means it's working. I'm washing this shit out in a couple of minutes, drying my hair, and going BLUE, glorious BLUE!

I'm hoping the lightening stuff will help the blue last longer. Because it lasted awesomely that first time, but the last time I full out dyed my hair it washed out super fast. I think I'm also going to switch to conditioner only for my hair regiment.

Goal is longer lasting blue. God I love blue. I want permanent blue.

Y'know, Nair burns, too.

No, just kidding. I'm sure the blue will be awesome :)

I did conditioner only for... oh, a year and a half. It works okay for the hair, but the scalp is another question. I couldn't figure out an effective way to get my scalp nice and clean without stripping my hair, so now I'm back to shampooing about once a week.

Can you tell I'm procrastinating from my paper? I'm on page 6 of 10 and just ran out of stuff to say. Crud.

Try Ion Color Sealer from Sally Beauty--it really made a difference for my color retention.
