I am in extreme distress as I type this. I came home to a raining apartment. Part of the cieling has come off. My computer got soaked. I called 911 because I thought maybe the person above me had died and left the water running or something. I think they're going to have us stay somewhere else for a while.

This is fucked up. I am so stressed I've been crying constantly since I got home maybe an hour ago.


Help me.


Please.

I feel your pain...I really do. I hope that it's something they can fix fast (as in my case, the upstairs neighbors don't know how to work a shower curtain and their shower water rained through my bathroom fan all over my bathroom) and your stuff isn't ruined. :(

Holy mother of fuck! That sucks. I wonder if it has something to do with what He-who-wears-comfortable-pants posted about, with the water shortage. If you only lived closer to me then I could at least help you guys out with a warm roof and a futon but alas that is impossible at these distances.

Oh, yeah, about what Ms. Enzie was mentioning, I know I have $8000 in renter's insurance through my parents' home insurance, which would only barely cover my costs if my ceiling went away. If you have a lot of damage (and a soaked computer sounds like you will have a lot of damage), you could look into it that way, as a last resort.
