I have the worst time buying clothes. Becuase I'm kind of picky and because I'm funny shaped.

But I have a wedding to go to in November. One that I can't wear my summer wedding dress too because the bride has seen me wear it and, well, it's linen and not really a winter thing. I got this super pretty black silk sleeveless top last night at Nordstrom's and now I have to find a skirt. It was half off, and a size 14w. I think that Nine West must be on sizing crack because I don't usually wear 14w tops. Normally it's the reverse. I get a skirt I love and have an ass of a time finding a top. But no.

I know the realm of what I want. - in a brightish color (maybe blue or teal or cranberry red (which would be ideal as I have shoes to match that)) maybe with a hint of pattern and a lot of swirl and give to it. But fancy looking enough to go to a wedding. In a silky fabric (because the top IS silk (and oh lord is it soft soft soft)) - And if I had sewing ability it'd be way easier. But I don't. Le sigh.

Try Chico's or J.Jill - they have lots of 'different' things! I have a matte jersey skirt from J.Jill that is perfect dressed up or down and can be stuffed in a suitcase without suffering - just hang it up and the wrinkles ease out. Get this - up the road a bit from you - past Everett by the Tualip Indian Casino there is the world's best outlet mall and they have both a J.Jill and a Chico's outlet! *so jealous to not live in Seattle!*
