Oct. 11th, 2005 07:12 pmI haven't been happy in my Livejournal for a while. I've been happy outside of my livejournal, but mostly just grumpy inside of it.
But things are good.
Yes. It's true.
I think Museology is right. I'm loving my job in the archy collections - I did a condition report on a petroglyph rubbing today and sewed on a label. I got to touch stuff. Yay for touching stuff. And later I got to go see the collections of the Henry Art Gallery. That place is way cool. I definately need to go visit it sometime.
I turned in my first timesheet. That means I get paid in a couple of weeks. Wooo! Cash dollars.
I start my tutoring gig tomorrow. I have three sessions arranged. I think it should be just fine. I'm a bit apprehensive - I haven't tutored in a while and I think I tend to be too directive. Like, it's hard for me not to say "One thing that I could see working in this paper is blank. What do you think?" That's not cool tutor behavior. I think it's one of the things I'll have to watch for. But I hope that I love it like I loved Fellowing. It's the same sort of deal, but a different set up and dynamic. Eek! Yay! But eek!
I sent out three emails today that I should have sent a long time ago - keeping people updated on my life, people I'm interested in having know about my life.
And I made a pair of socks for myself! That's pretty awesome.
Things are good, but they move fast. Fast fast fast.
mrcomfypants' birthday is fast approaching. After a lot of looking around I bought his present today. You should too. I just hope it gets here in time.
