Ugh. Teeth.

I've been grinding my teeth at night the past few days. Daniel tells me this. I need a mouth gaurd. There's one for $25 ish and one for $60ish. As I've never (to my knowledge) had this problem before I want to go with the cheap one even though it looks a lot more... awkward. The expensive one looks a lot easier to use and maybe more comfy to wear.

I'm walking to the rite-aid after school tomorrow and seeing if they've any in stock of either. That may just be the deciding factor.

We will see. We will see. In the meantime I'm going to try and fall asleep with my mouth open with the theory that it's more relaxed and that my teeth aren't touching then.

I obsess about my mouth because both my parents have bad teeth and I've traditionally had holey teeth and I consistently have dreams that involve my teeth falling out. Which isn't cool. Teeth are very important status symbols so long as they're in your mouth or at least appear to be.

Whatever you do, don't get a soft-rubber one. Those can do way more damage than good. The hard plastic is much better. Best would be getting one fit for you... but that's around $300-400... though it may be less if you could find a dental school with student dentists.

And grinding is a completely involuntary thing... sorry to say it, but falling asleep with your mouth open won't do anything for ya... ;) Taking a sedative can help a little, though. Yay valium!?!

It's pretty well known that dreams about teeth, particularly if they fall out, are anxiety dreams in general. Don't stress!!! :)

Now I'm off to the dentist... to pick up my new mouthguard. My boy will be so happy I won't wake him with my grinding anymore...

Yep, I too get teeth falling out dreams. Usually they involve cracking and crumbling while I'm singing in a concert opr something.

So you can imagine how freaked out I was when I bit down on my survival cough drop in the middle of a particularly stressful performance of the Bach Mass in B minor and felt it crunch.

I have dreams about my teeth falling out all the time! Apparently it's very common.

what's the one that's $60? where did you see that? i have the cheaper one, and while it took a little while to get used to, i don't mind it at all now.
