Things are pretty good. DSL has just arrived on the scene so more internet access is possible. But for now... Bookshelves! (that is, I must help put some together.)

Eee!

Starting like two days ago, I have been so excited about going back to school. Almost freshman excited.

I don't know how much of this is that I'm mostly finished moping about leaving the Smithsonian, how much is from touring my graduate apartment, and how much is just Having Found My Academic Place, but ee ee ee!

I haven't hit that yet. I've been in the Throes of Moving which pretty much prevents me from focussing on anything but Getting Settled In and doing things like Building Bookcases.

But I will get excited, I'll bet. Just have to wait for it to hit me that I'm here and I'll be doing what I had planned to be doing.

Oh lord, I was such a basket case while packing. I expect that the transition into the campus housing won't be as bad, but I was certainly not thinking of anything else two weeks ago.
