Furniture to get rid of....
Jul. 14th, 2005 01:22 amHey Madison people -
I'm moving and I hate waste... I have some pieces of furniture that I plan to try and sell, but I thought I'd let you all know first.
Bookcases - 5 and 6 adjustable shelves, respectively. Purchased at shopko within the last two years. Very good shape. $45ish for both (not matching finishes)
Media bookcase - black, adjustable shelves. Good shape, bought in the last couple of years. Comes with Powerpuff Girl stickers and useful label "Music" $20ish
Papasan chair - seen better days, but still useful. Red cushion. $15
Two metal 3-shelf units (about hip high)- $10
Drop leaf table - blond wood finish, only one leaf has the thing to make the leaf go out. I imagine it can be fixed. - $8
Dresser - Four drawers, bottom drawer falling apart a little. $10
Set of lamps - Fakey tortoise shell glass shades. One desk lamp, one floor lamp. Floor lamp has chunk out of shade. $7
George Foreman Grill - rarely used. $7
Blender - from Walmart. $5
AC Unit - this will be the last thing to leave the apartment, but it's not coming with us. Bought last summer it works really well, but is kinda filthy (we're above the nasty filthy parking lot). Cleaning will be attempted, but spotlessness is unlikely. But it works! $50ish
So these are the things that I'm hoping to trade for money. It would be best if they could leave between August 8th and 12th.

Date: 2005-07-14 10:29 am (UTC)This is the 6 shelf bookcase. It is surrounded by clutter. This one is lighter than the other one.
The 5 shelf bookcase. Really fuzzy image, but the color is good enough. I noticed a small sort of chip on it, but that was there when we got it.
And while we're at it - The table... also really fuzzy, but you can see the color and get an idea of the size.

Where about are you at?

Date: 2005-07-14 10:35 am (UTC)When I was in college at St. Norbert in Green Bay, one of the school reps who promoted the Swinging Knights show choir was the ShopKo Lady... I can't recall her name... but she was on ALL the shopko commercials on TV for a looooong time... skinny, long brown hair, probably in her early 50's now... *sigh and giggle* You probably have no idea what I'm talking about...
