Anyone have any travel tips? I'm in the process of trying to find a decent travel package to Seattle and it sucks monkey butt. I like the fares Travelocity offers, but they last like two seconds.

Arg. Grr.

Yeah, drive there... I made it there in about 30 hours and that counts about 4 hours for sleeping in a rest area. It's also cheaper than flying.

i dunno, i usually have pretty good luck with travelocity.

i've heard that some sites will give you a really good deal the first time you visit the site, but if you come back again the price goes up. so perhaps it wouldn't hurt to try and delete your cookies or whatever just in case that might be a factor.

airfare sucks right now because of fuel prices. check the main carriers: continental, american, delta, southwest, jetblue spring to mind. sometimes you can get better fares there than the dealers. also check orbitz. smartertravel.com might be a good resource too. these things can be so hot or miss. i recently broke down and bought a not-that-cheap ticket to houston to visit my family.

Its rare that you can't beat SW Airline's prices, and their frequent flyer program is great!

I've found good deals on hotwire.com. If you don't mind driving a little/lot, Southwest and JetBlue are both good, cheap carriers that don't show up on most major websites.
