Nov. 19th, 2008 10:14 pmI have decided to make a floppy hat. Like a beret, but floppier and made out of knitting. I'm about 3" in so far.
We had a coupon for Kashi cereal, so I'm giving it another try. Last time I tried it, I bought the kind with twigs. Did not care for that. This time I got the kind without twigs. And it's actually pretty tasty. Hard to chew, which is annoying. But it tastes a little like Golden Crisp cereal but with a touch of cinnamon. I just had a bowl full as a nighttime snack, with a few spoonfuls of rich chocolatey ovaltine added in. Not bad. I also have a box of the kind with almonds. We'll see. Not usually a big almond fan.
I feel like Kashi is an improvement over the Frosted Miniwheats I've been eating for the past year or so. Maybe being harder to chew contributes to the idea of greater goodness for the health. However, I don't think Kashi is on sale as much as miniwhats or their store brand alternative. I will have to weigh perceptions of health against perceptions of an extra couple dollars per week of breakfast.
I bought a(nother) pair of boots that don't fit around the calf. Le sigh. They were super cute boots, too.... :(
