Today is speshul. It's the anniversary of [livejournal.com profile] mrcomfypants and I being an official couple. Awwwwww... We went to the Rodeo City B-B-Q, a local restaurant we hadn't tried out. It's not bad. There was certainly meat aplenty. Not bad is saying a lot in this town. Oy.

Daniel and I celebrate "February" in a general sort of way. We get each other presents and exchange them usually as soon as we've gotten them. Daniel, very sensibly, got me jewelry box which I filled immediately. I'd been keeping all my jewelry in about 10 different small boxes, which included some very knotted chains. But now it is all together! I got him a couple of Sesame Street tiny plushes. yip yip yip uh huh. These things were exchanged during the first week of the month.

Then we settled in to watch some Star Trek TNG. Ah, nerd love.

Dude. So, in our systematic watching of Star Trek the Next Generation, we have reached season 7, the last season. The episode "Journey's End" seems to "wrap up" the Wesley Crusher story line. If you'll recall, Wesley Crusher is the boy genius who is almost pure to a fault. References are made to his being special early on. Anyway, at some point he gets old enough to go away to Star Fleet Academy, so he does that.

In this last episode with him in it, he... well... he can stop time.

That's stupid. Just stupid. It's a crappy way to wrap up a story line and a stupid thing to do to a character who is not so much everyone's favorite. "Kazaam! You are now a god among men, Wesley Crusher!" Wah wah what??

Bad writing, mess you up.

Yes, yes, yes. I know - I'm a pathetic super nerd. Go me.
