froggy_dearI tried to give blood today. Low iron. Again. Always with the low iron.
Had the first thesis workshop meeting. It was interesting. I think it went well although I'm not good at reading people. I think it will continue to be a useful kind of thing. Thesis troubleshooting with a dash of structure. There are times when this project seems too enormous to ever actually finish, and I've barely begun to start. Which is awful since I've already done a bunch of work toward it.
Also, I am a hero at work. I will do the tedious stuff that no one loves and I am good at it. And fast. The LOAN OF DOOM is so close to being In Order, it's most excellent. And next week... ARCHIVES! I am going to be archives wench for the rest of the year, I can feel it. Specifically, I am going to be OPA wench. Sweet, sweet OPA. Oh wait.
One thing that's nice about working in archy is that most people have work ethics. Salaried employees, obviously, but also the student workers. That's one thing that always amazed me was how I'm considered such a good worker in all my jobs when I don't particularly feel I excel. I just have a work ethic. I like being around people who get things done, but can also stand around and chat for a few minutes every now and then. Of course, the candy is a plus. Archy usually has sugary treats around. I enjoy my job. This is clear.
