Oct. 14th, 2005 04:40 pmI'm going to a small potluck tonight and I'm bringing cheese and crackers. Because 1)the other thing I know how to make needed more time to chill than I could give it and 2)I don't really know how to make things appropriate to a potluck. So semi-fancy cheeses and crackers it is! (Dill Havarti, edam, mild cheddar, and swiss - I like mild cheese, what can I say?)
Also, I'm noticing that I have to cinch my belts tighter than I have had to before. I don't know if I'm losing weight or if the belts are just stretching. Hmmm..
I like cheese. Cheese cheese cheese.
It seems hard to find edam in this town. The first store I went to flat out didn't have it (except in deli slices which I did not want) and the second one had it in some form, with a little bit of the wax rind. I had wanted one of the little wheels encased in wax. They have a lot of those for gouda, but not for poor edam.
