Nov. 5th, 2008 10:06 pmWell, the car is in the shop. It's been stuttering a little when we start it up, taking longer to turn over than it ought to. There have also been some problems with it shifting, and especially with it hanging out in overdrive too long. Not that I know what I'm talking about. I just hope it doesn't cost too much.
On the other hand, I have this hankering. I would like to get to the ocean. I would like to go see the ocean again. Long weekends, such as Thanksgiving provide an excellent opportunity. But what I've seen of coastal towns is kind of dismal. Does anyone have suggestions for places to go to along the Washington or Oregon coast that might be open in the off season? San Francisco is too long a drive, and we don't have passports, so I don't think we can do Canada. Besides, I am pining for those Pacific beaches.
Not to mention, gas is under $2.30, so now is the ideal time for a road trip, before it gets back over $4.00.
