I have this problem with doing my reading. I zone out when I read. I read the words, but I'm thinking about something else and I don't retain anything. So. Frustrating. Must get my act together. We've heard that one before, though.
What else? I turned in my Human Subjects application! That's a real good thing. Except now I'm second guessing everything. Oy. But if the process takes three months, it needed to get rolling in a bad way.
I gave in. I bought those delicious Converse Mary Janes, and Zappos upgraded my (already free) shipping to one day, so I should have them on Tuesday! Yay for shoes! Yay for fast shipping! Boo for spending lots of money.
Speaking of spending lots of money, I've had some recent good luck at thrift stores. I've got two cashmere sweaters now, a nice pair of brown pants, and a really lovely Nine West silk skirt. All for under $20. So maybe it balances the shoes out? No, I guess not. :P
You're kidding me. The weather man (Monty Webb, this town has a wealth of excellent weatherman names. I'm just glad to be out of broadcast range of that Charlie Shortino) tells me that there's going to be another "snow storm." I'm amazed that there's still snow on the ground. I like having this little bit of winter.
